This will be a long one.
I haven’t known Faith and Nick for very long, but I’ve been a very involved person in their lives from the moment I met them. Faith reached out to me in July of 2022 for a spontaneous, fun session and of course, I said yes. I knew it would be a challenge to photograph someone in a wheelchair. I told Faith this was completely new for me and I was extremely nervous. Spoiler alert: the session was amazing. Then Faith asked me to go to the county fair with her (yes, please!)
Fast forward to October, Nick reached out to me to let me know he was proposing to Faith and I lost it. I’d been begging the universe for a proposal session, and here, one of the coolest couples I’ve ever known was asking for one. It was very meticulously planned and I knew I had to help create the perfect moment for these two. Faith had been through so much at this point and I couldn’t let her (or Nick) down. I can’t imagine it going any more perfectly than it did.
Faith asked to do ice skating for their official engagement session, and I don’t know anyone who would’ve turned that down. We skated around the lake slowly amongst the Christmas lights; it was like something from a Hallmark movie. We also did a magical session at the ice castles. Faith has taken me on some incredible adventures.
And then she asked me to photograph her wedding. Naturally, I was a wreck when she came out in her wedding dress and for a good part of the day. Faith is beautiful, but as a bride she was surreal. The wedding was a genuine fairytale wedding; complete with a donut wall and balloon arch. If you know Faith, you know this was the epitome of her character. It was clear that every vendor just wanted Faith and Nick to be happy. There were so many incredible moments to share, but I’ll just show them to you here instead.
Now introducing Mr. & Mrs. Wildflower.
