Spirit Mountain is such a beautiful location for a wedding. It boasts incredible views of Duluth and Lake Superior, along with a large reception space for all your family and friends to join you on your big day. Spirit Mountain can comfortably seat about 200 people and has the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony!
Ashley and Andy decided to get married at Spirit Mountain because it was near their families and a central location for everyone to travel to. Though it was a bit of a drive for us, we had such a great time with these two. They opted for an outdoor ceremony, which was in the field behind the venue and had very simple decor. They actually collected rocks to use for their table decor since they spend a lot of time on Lake Superior.
Though things didn’t go as planned for most of the day and we got WAY behind on their timeline, everything worked out for the best. Ashley & Andy were absolute troopers for most of the day and really worked together to maintain a positive outlook. Near the end of the day, we pulled them both aside to capture some photos of just the two of them & step away from the chaos. It’s always really important to me that we give our couples the chance to be alone for a bit.
Honestly, I think that Spirit Mountain was a great reflection of these two and the love they share. Everything was simple and natural, which is the epitome of Ashley & Andy’s relationship. Very simple and very active! I am so thankful I got to take part in their wedding day and I can’t wait to see what adventures they go on next! Congrats again, you two!
