Plummer House is such a beautiful location for engagement sessions. It can be challenging to find beautiful spots in Southern Minnesota, so I am so glad that I stumbled across this one!

When Courtney + Grant requested Plummer House in Rochester for their engagement session, I was a little hesitant. Plummer House is a tourist location and I was so nervous it was going to be super busy or booked for the day. We got really lucky & it was practically empty while we were there! We were one of the few people who braved the early Sunday morning chill in November.

As soon as I drove onto the property of Plummer House, I fell in love. This is one of those locations that makes me think of those big estates in Pride & Prejudice. Plummer House gave such elegant, European vibes and I could not believe how lucky I’d gotten. This location really does have a bit of everything. Being so late in the year, we weren’t able to see the water gardens, but the hedges were still nicely trimmed and the lawns were immaculately kept.

When people think of Southern MN, I’m sure they’re picturing farmland and rolling fields of corn. Southern Minnesota is full of so many beautiful places like Plummer House and I’ve made it my mission to give these locations a whole lotta love. I’m falling in love with Southern Minnesota more and more each day.

All that being said, Courtney + Grant made this location so much more than it was. They came to their session with a lot of love and laughter & we had so much fun together! One of the most important things that you can do when preparing for your engagement session is to come with an open mind. These two definitely did!
