I love having the opportunity to visit Sioux Falls. Being there for this incredible shoot at Blue Haven Barn & Gardens was the perfect reason for a day trip 🙂

I was actually supposed to have a shoot out at their other venue, The Atrium at Blue Haven, last August. It ended up falling through because I booked a ton of weddings and overestimated what I’d be able to do that month. When I reached out again, they asked if I’d be willing to use Blue Haven Barn instead of the atrium, to which I said yes! It’s been a while since Blue Haven Barn has been used for a styled session. So we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something fun and unique!

First and foremost, I’ve been to a lot of venues, but Blue Haven Barn stands out! It is so well-thought out and immaculate. Once you walk in, you get a grand entrance with a split entry into the main reception area; which probably sounds a little strange. BUT the stairs glide down into the center of the reception space. This provides for an excellent entrance into your reception OR a really grand entrance if you opt for an indoor ceremony!

All of the details came together so perfectly for this day! I just cannot believe I got to work with so many incredible vendors. Everyone was so kind and patient and willing to give some of their best work in order for our shoot to be fun + unique. Those light, dusty blues and blush colors really complimented the indoor space we used. I think everything came together beautifully. I can’t imagine a much better way to jump into this wedding season!
